VBS was in the morning today, so our first stop was Los Cocos.  It’s such a joy to see the children paying attention to the teachers, and enthusiastic about VBS.  After the lesson, we “missioneros” had the chance to give piggy back rides and run around like kids ourselves.

Thankfully, we saved some energy for our construction project at Cuesta Arena.  Since it was Saturday, we anticipated a shorter work day.  We were surprised to see that the majority of the footer trench for the wall was completed and we were ready to mix concrete….and not just a wheelbarrow full –  a mountain of concrete to get hauled behind the building!  Later some of us mixed mortar and began helping Alfredo with the block work.  It was nearly 4:30 when we ran out of steam and called it a day.  We were blessed with patient teachers, gracious neighbors, the friends we are making, and the light of Jesus that we see all around us.
