Feb 27 Dominican independence day

We arrived in Haiti safely and easily. Like driving from Santiago to santo Domingo. We arrived at the orphanage in ebenezer just a few miles over the border. Only encountered a few tent cities. Tomorrow we will head to port au prince to get the team then come back. People are very nice but difficult not to speak creole. I started speaking Spanish out of habit.
Last night we stayed at casa Blanca just outsie of jimani Dominican republic. It’s a mission house being run by the imb (international mission board) with the baptist church. They oraganize groups and supplies. Today they were taking supplies from Florida. Met a group of medical people from Louisiana that has been here for a week helping in Haiti.
